The new Website will serve as an information resource for the public and assist with community policing efforts.
The new Website, www.CarterCountyMOSheriff.org, features press releases, messages from Sheriff Stephens which are updated frequently, pages on the services of each division of the Sheriff’s Office, as well as a link to submit crime tips via email.
“The safety of county residents is our primary concern at the Sheriff’s Office. We feel the sex offender Website map feature allows us to better-protect county residents by keeping them informed,” stated Sheriff Stephens.

This tool will allow us to devote more resources to the safety and security of our residents. Additionally, the new Website provides greater transparency for the Sheriff’s Office and encourages the public to take a more active role in community policing efforts. Our intent is for every County resident to visit the site and become familiar with how to locate sex offenders, how to submit a crime tip and where to find the latest news and updates from the Sheriff’s Office.
