On 10.10.2024 the Carter County Sheriff's Office with assistance from Van Buren Police Department and the South-Central Drug Task Force, served several search warrants throughout Carter County to include Van Buren, Ellsinore and Grandin/Hunter areas. I want to first start by saying my team here at the Sheriff's office has worked very hard, not only to build community relations, but to act on complaints we have received from our community. I will not tolerate the sale of narcotics in Carter County. We will do everything in our power to stop this activity. If you choose to sell drugs in this county be prepared to see this team very soon. Today my team and I seized firearms, narcotics, money and even filed forfeitures on property's. Again, I cannot stress this enough: Sell drugs, lose your freedom, money, and maybe your property. Today we have arrested 7 people in these search warrants.
